About
After 10 years of constant traveling for competitions, I retired from gymnastics, but the love for travel never went away. I studied a Bachelor in Tourism Management and right after graduating I started my career as a Luxury Travel Advisor. The attention for the details, the luxurious hotels and the opportunity to travel the world made this the perfect path for me to follow. Then, the pandemic stroked, with an unprecedented pause in the industry I found myself with more leisure time than I was used to.
I used this time to dig into another passion of mine, wine. I got my WSET certificate and started reading and learning all I could about wine, after a while, I was completely hooked. Trying to figure out how to merge Travel and Wine I ended up enrolling in the Wine Tourism Innovation Master Program, and in 2022 I moved all the way to Europe to study and learn from the very best in the industry. I had the chance to live in 4 major wine regions; Catalunya, Bordeaux, Loire Valley and Porto. But also used this time to explore many others including La Rioja, Rhone Valley, Alsace, Champagne, the Peljesac Peninsula, Tuscany & more.
In early 2024, I decided to finally merge my expertise in Luxury Travel with my knowledge and passion for Wine by creating Wine Voyages, the only travel agency specialised in both, wine and luxury travel with an unpretentious and relaxed approach (no snobs allowed!). My mission is to help other wine and travel lovers (aka Wine Voyagers) to learn more about wine, become part of a community and immerse themselves in the wine regions in the easiest, most comfortable and rewarding way possible. Let’s discover together the world of wine !
All the best,
Hi there, I’m Fernanda, Wine Travel Agent and founder of Wine Voyages
My business is based in Miami, FL but me, I’m constantly on the move. If not designing trips for my clients or traveling to new destinations, probably you will find me sipping wine in the Loire Valley (my second home)
My current favourite wine is the Montignanello Leounicci 2018 from Umbria, which I discovered in a tiny wine bar on my last trip to Rome back on 2022.
The first ever vineyard I visited was Peller Estate in Canada but so far, the most beautiful regions I have visited are Hermitage & Douro Valley and my ultimate bucket list wine destination to visit is Stellenbosch in South Africa (fingers crossed for 2025!)
